The story: Lois and Hal's 40th Anniversary is coming up.
Lois is going out of her head planning a big party, and her biggest request is that the whole family be present.
It has been almost 20 years since everyone has been together, and out of everyone, Malcolm is the one who hasn't stayed in contact the most.
A lot has happened in those 20 years of Malcolm's life, mainly, he has a teenage daughter now that he has been hiding from his whole family, and vice versa.
The worst part is that Malcolm has been staying away and close-mouthed about his life because he thinks that anytime he has been around his family, it has caused enormous amounts of chaos for him.
Malcolm makes every attempt possible to get out of going to the party, but Lois is not going to take no for an answer.
Neither is his daughter.
