The story: This year, while all the townspeople excitedly anticipate seeing Santa Claus on TV in town, they get the news that Santa is retiring,...and that his replacement is Robotnik Claus!

Among other things, Instead of everyone getting gifts from Santa, they are all expected to give Robotnik Claus gifts.
When Sonic has to race into town for a gift for Sally, he finds that all the stores are empty.
Sonic and Tails see all the toys and gifts being taken away to 'Jolly Ole Saint Robotnik Claus' and cannot believe what they hear.
Just when they are off to investigate, they meet a young boy who tells them what's going on.
The real Santa Claus has been kidnapped.
