Oh holy god. I totally had a feeling...
I will give this the fact that it is totally believable but its just not my thing at all.
Anyways. This is based on truths but , the title character is actually the writer/directors' aunt.
So the story is about the aunts daughter , his cousin.
Same story , only different people.
Yea I know , confusing and seriously mega depressing.

The story : Krisha is a 60-year-old women with some , issues.
She has been estranged from her family for the last 10 years.
Her sister has been in contact with her , as Krisha's son has been living with his aunt.
Sister believes that Krisha has kicked her habits by "doing the work" , so it is time for the the whole family to all be together again for Thanksgiving.
Soon after Krisha tries making amends with her son and cannot get the answers she is looking for she begins to crack.
As the day grows long Krisha becomes more and more tormented.
