The story : Leon Vitali was an up and coming actor , playing numerous stage roles and appearing in various sitcoms.
Living and working in London at a time where everything was happening.
After seeing '2001 : A Space Odyssey' , he became a huge fan of director Stanley Kubrick's work.
He auditioned for Stanley Kubrick's 1975 'Barry Lyndon' and got the part.
Loving every moment of making the film , he began an interest in the behind the scenes.
On his next movie , 'Terror of Frankenstein' , Leon worked endless hours in the cutting room.
Explaining all his behind the scenes work to Kubrick , he was soon sent the novel 'The Shining'. 
After expressing his love for the story Leon found himself casting the role for Danny in the movie.
This began the new life for Leon of assisting in everything and anything that was required to get the right shot , cast , location and lighting in the Kubrick films that followed til his death.
