Released August 6th in the US.
Filming location(s) unknown.
The story : In the 80s , Satanic cults were on the rise.
Teens being accused of Satan worship , due to playing records backwards looking for subliminal messages was a new , strange phenomenon as well.
Many parents groups were in full belief that rock and roll music and its message was to blame for brainwashing their children into being disrespectful , violent and possible murderers.
On December 23 , 1985 in a churchyard playground in Reno , Nevada , these kinds of beliefs became a kind of reality.
Friends 18-year-old Raymond Belknap and 20-year-old James Vance decided , due to being under the influence of drink , drugs and heavy metal music , such as Judas Priest , that they needed to die...
18-year-old Raymond died instantly.
20-year-old James survived , only to be disfigured for the rest of his life.
While James was in the hospital having many reconstructive surgeries and recovering , he took it upon himself to write Raymond's mother a letter.
James explained that he believed that drink and a Judas Priest album they were currently listening to was the cause of their suicide idea , mesmerizing them.
