So much of horror is about mood , atmosphere and cinematic style and women victims who survive have become common ground.
In 1978 , Director John Carpenter broke ground with his masterpiece 'Halloween'.
That movie became the blueprint for things to come.
But before that , audiences were freaked by Alfred Hitchcock's 'Psycho'(1960).
Many movies followed in the two's mysterious, thrilling footsteps making many people wanting more.
But another sub genre was also introduced...
