David (1988)

The story : David is a 6 year old boy living with his mother Marie , who is separated from his father Charles.
David adores his father and wants to be with him anytime he can, which doesn't seem like often enough.
Marie and Charles are in the middle of a custody battle for David but Charles fears he will never see his beloved son again.
Charles tells Marie he has gotten a new job.
He has a week before he is due to be at work and asks to take David away for the weekend and then keep him for the week.
Marie reluctantly agrees and during the weekend attempts checking on her son various times.
When she cannot get a hold of him and then finds he wasn't at school on Monday , Marie gets worried and calls the police.
She finds out that Charles has taken David from New York where he lives to California , obviously in an attempt to kidnap him.
But what happens to young David at his fathers hands , no one could have expected.
