The story : In the 1930s , Spring Break time for college students was about swimming in the Carribean...
In a year or so time, the spring breakers relocated from the Carribean to the beaches of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
After the relocation, Spring Break became a drink all day, dance all night party for college students from everywhere around the United States.
By the 60s Fort Lauderdale was making so much money on these college students , Daytona Beach wanted in on the action.
But after many years, along with the battle to get the most business, Fort Lauderdale wanted out.
The year-round residents of Daytona Beach soon followed along in Fort Lauderdale's footsteps, but only because of all the crime and havoc that the vacationers were causing and getting into.
