The story: In 1985, chief lobbyist Charlie Burner is working for the music industry.
His current goal is to get senate to sign a bill, taxing the sales of audio cassettes to give the record companies the proceeds as well as their signed artists.
This should be a done deal.
Right before Charlie gets to state his case a new issue arises.
Senator Al Gore's wife Tipper has a problem with the music industry she would like to see addressed.
While listening to the Grammy Award-winning Prince album 'Purple Rain' with her young daughter, she finds that some of the lyrics to the songs are questionable and inappropriate, to say the least.
Tipper wants this changed with a warning label.
But Tipper and her new group of women who go by the name Parental Music Resource Center decide to take their fight straight to the senate.
Charlie becomes bent on helping the music industry, with the help of Frank Zappa, Dee Snider, and John Denver - to keep this change from happening.
