The story : Allen Gamble and Terry Hoitz are policemen.
Allen enjoys working behind his desk while Terry hates it.
They are both stuck working inside the office for different reasons.
Terry wants out of the office....and he despises Allen but the two are assigned to work together.
When the two top cops in their department die , the chief is looking for two good cops to replace them.
Terry believes this is their chance to get out there and be policemen.
While trying to arrest a man for a charge Allen finds serious and Terry doesnt take seriously enough , they stumble onto a more important crime.
