The story : Growing up , Ron found himself to be very patriotic.
He loved what his country stood for.
As a teenager , Ron was the best that he could be in his every endeavor , including his school wrestling team.
When it came time to graduate high school , some Navy recruiters came to Ron's school on a recruiting mission.
The Navy succeeded in getting Ron , he could not wait to serve his country.
Stationed in Vietnam , Ron seen and did things he had a hard time living with.
Wounded in the line of duty , Ron was released and sent to a hopsital.
Paralyzed from the waist down now , all Ron really has left is hope.
He still encomposes the patriotic train of thought that he went into Vietnam with although most people that he encounters do not.
Slowly becoming a different person now , Ron begins to finally see the war and the meaning of what he did differently than he first did.
