The story : In the early 80s , 16-year-old Laurie doesnt have much.
She's living with her mom and step dad in the trailer park and likes to go roller skating with her girlfriends.
One night Laurie goes out to a bar with her friend. There she meets older , handsome Bruce.
Immediately Bruce is smitten with Laurie and wont leave her alone.
He explains that he is a seperated dad of two , owns his own home , has a job and thinks Laurie is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen.
Now Laurie is puddy in Bruce's hands.
Bruce cons Laurie's stepdad into allowing her to stay with him when they plan on making a move to Florida.
Laurie wants to be Bruce's wife and the mother of his kids but he doesnt want any of that.
Bruce just wants Laurie to be his living-loving maid and stay exactly the same as when they first met.

He spends his time hanging at a local bar , running up a tab he cannot pay for , in-and-out of rehab but refusing to stay away from the drugs when he gets out and stealing things from his friends to pay for his bad habits.
One evening while at the bar Robert meets sweet-as-pie Jennifer Levin.
The two take a liking to each other even though neither of them are single.
Robert and Jennifer spend some time together and eventually become intimate.
The next night , Jennifer is all goo-goo about Robert and decides to tell him.
Problem is , this gets Robert in trouble with his girlfriend.
Jennifer doesnt seem to mind that though , as she believes she is in-love with Robert.
She leaves the bar with Robert and the next morning her lifeless body is found in the local park...

When they get to the gas station , a group of local kids harrass them namely a bully called Hubie.

Later on in the day , Hybie and his entourage catch up with them.
This time though , Hybie takes Binx's scooter.
Binx is heartbroken without his scooter so Billie Jean has a couple friends take her to the police station to report it stolen.
She is advised to wait a couple days for the scooters return.
When Billie Jean gets home she finds the scooter all smashed up along with Binx's face.
Billie Jean goes to Hybie's dad to ask for the money to fix the scooter but things get out of hand.

So new singer Joe becomes and he also brings to the table the name he thinks the band should go by , Def Leppard.
Soon the band is rehearsing in an abandoned factory.
When they believe they are ready to go out and perform for an audience , they begin playing gigs at local schools.
During a photoshoot , their manager lets them know their next step in the right direction is going to the states to perform.
While opening for AC/DC the band is seen by record producer Mutt Lange , who believes with his help they have the potential to make it big.
Thats when the band gets famous.
