Filmed entirely in Australia.
The story : Muriel is a young woman who lives with her large family.
Her father happens to be a very important guy in town and uses that to his advantage at every opportunity.
Her mum does everything she can to make things work for the family , even if no one appreciates her or her efforts.
Her siblings are a bunch of moochers. Not one of them have a job and spend their days sitting around the tv set , ordering mum around.
Muriel doesnt get any much needed support from her family and its causing a lot of strain on her life , only she doesnt realize that.
When Muriel decides to take off , stealing money from her father to do so , this causes her family to fall apart piece by piece.
But it also helps Muriel become an independant , full person who can finally figure out who she is.
