The story : In the 50s' , a young man , known today as Chuck Barris , was looking to make a name for himself in the TV industry.
After writing a catchy short-lived minor hit that was performed on 'American Bandstand' , Chuck thought up the ultimately popular TV program 'The Dating Game'.
Airing for a bit on NBC in the 60s' til the channel dropped the show.
While Chuck waisted time trying to figure out what to do next he was approached by CIA , asking of Chuck to become a secret killer....
Soon after in the late 60s' , NBC picked up 'The Dating Game' once again only to drop it a second time.
While looking for talent to use for a new kind of show in the mid 70's , Chuck got a another show idea.
Chuck's new show? The Gong Show.... A super hit which Chuck took much flack in the public eye for which seemed to help pull the show under.
All the while , carrying out haunting hits for the CIA.
