The story : In 1950 , Tom Petty was born in Gainesville , Florida.
He grew up there.
He liked westerns and guitars because the cowboys always played them.
One day , Tom's aunt told him that his uncle was working on a movie that Elvis was starring in and wanted to know if Tom wanted to go to the set.
This instantly set Tom into his rock n roll dream.
Rock and roll was all Tom ever wanted to talk about , never actually having any feel to play it.
Music hypnotized him.
It wasn't until Tom seen The Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan show that everything was finally clear for him.
He was going to play guitar and be a big star.
This is that story.
