The story : "August 18 , 1973 , News of a bizarre , chainsaw wielding family - reports which were to ignite the worlds' imagination - began to filter out of central Texas. Regrettably not one of the family members were ever apprehended and for more than ten years nothing further was heard. Then , over the next several years at least two minor , yet apparently related incidents , were reported. Then again nothing. For five long years , silence..."
May 22 , 1996 - its prom night.
Four somewhat friends are taking a random car ride together , after one of the couples has a little infidelity issue while still at the prom.
They happen upon a detour , which none of them are familiar with.
Without any choice , they take the detour.
Out of nowhere , their car is struck by another out-of-control car.
Everyone , except the guy in the other car is fine.
So , three of the four friends go for help while one of them stays back with the wounded guy.
The friends think they find help and after doing so , start back to their car.
But what theyve really done was warned some very violent people that they are helpless and in the area , walking unknowingly straight into the worse nightmare theyve ever had.
