The Bat People (1974)
Sorry I have to ruin this a bit for ya.
I find that the title implies that in this film there is, in fact, more than one person who is a bat.
Well, I'm here to tell you, this movie should be more specific. How about 'The Bat Person'...? Yea, just a thought.
Released January 30th in the US.
Filmed in California and New Mexico.
The story: Mr. and Mrs. Doctor Beck are at the start of their weekend holiday/long-awaited honeymoon.
In the desert, while trying to enjoy a picnic, the couple finds they are bothered by a bat of all things.
Next, the couple finds themselves on a bat cave tour (brilliant, I know).
The couple has fallen behind the rest of the tour group and while she's attempting to be playful, Mrs. Beck accidentally falls into a pit filled with creepy crawlies.
Mrs. Beck freaks, calling for her husband to rescue her.
Mr. Beck, in an attempt to help his wife, jumps into the pit and soon the couple is attacked by ... - yep, you guessed it, a bat.
Mr. Beck fights the dreaded killer bat out of his wife's' tresses but...is bitten by the bat.
Although Mr. Beck insists he feels fine and it's just a small bite, yea he's just not himself from here on out folks.
Stars Stewart Moss, Marianne McAndrew, Paul Carr, Robert Berk, Michael Pataki
