The story: Soleil Moon Frye was born on August 6, 1976.

She had a very regular childhood, with supportive but separated parents and two stepbrothers, with whom she was very close.

Soleil's life couldn't have been any better.

She started out acting in movies in 1982 at the age of 2. 

By 1984, when Soliel was 7 years old, she landed the lead role in the new TV show 'Punky Brewster'.

The show itself wasn't a very popular one, but the character of Punky Brewster was a big hit with kids.

When the show ended completely in 1988, Soliei went on to play small roles in other TV shows and movies, all the while, camera in hand.

She was only 13, and she struggled with body issues, not being taken seriously, and being unable to get significant roles like she once had with 'Punky Brewster'.

Soleil carried on, doing teenager things, going to school, meeting people, and spending so much time with so many famous friends while filming and writing about all that was going on in her life at any given time.

Today, as a married mother of two, Soleil has finally opened the vault, giving us a rare glimpse into all that was her life.

Showing us what she saw, who she knew, who she lost, what she did, and how she thought during those years as a young teenager, straight into adulthood.
