The story: Here we meet the infamous madam of Canal Street, Jeanette Maier.
She ran and worked at a brothel in New Orleans in a house on Canal Street with her mother, daughter, and many friends.
This being her sole source of income but also being the reason she served time in prison.
We get to hear many recorded phone messages from FBI surveillance, meet Jeanette's whole family, watch home movies of Miss Maier and her family, insight on how she came to be in the profession and see her in her present state...out of work but struggling to keep her head above water.
