The story: In 1976, Vince Papale is a 30-year-old married man who is barely making ends meet.
He and his friends have one thing going for them, their love of playing and kicking ass at football. Vince's love of football takes him into the role of a high school coach and playing on the World Football League for a season.
When their favorite NFL football team the Philadelphia Eagles recruit a new coach - Dick Vermeil, he wants to make a big change...striving for a chance at least a better season.
The coach decides to hold open tryouts for new players.
A new member is picked...Vince.
He, along with the new coach and the rest of the team eventually take themselves all the way to the SuperBowl.
