The story : Young Susan and Anne are roommates as well as best gal pals.
Susan is an aspiring dreamer of a photographer while Anne is still looking to find herself.
Right after things start looking good for Susan's photography career , they two get a new , bigger apartment.
But before they move in , Anne tells Susan that she is going to get married....
This leaves Susan feeling a bit strange but she deals.
It seems every relationship Susan enters afterwards just doesn't work out the way she would hope.
All the while , staying in contact with Anne , who is gradually regretting her choices.

The story : Some twenty years ago , Kit was a teenager living in California.
One summer the horrendous crimes of Richard Ramirez AKA The Night Stalker were continuously all over her tv.
Kit had become obsessed with the killer and the crimes which were being committed.
In June of 2013 , Kit is now a lawyer.
There is a man on death row in Texas who is charged with a crime Kit and her boss believe Ramirez is actually guilty of.
So the boss has sent Kit to interview Ramirez and get him to admit to all of his crimes in an effort to save an innocent mans life.

As a young man in the 60s George relocated with his best friend to California.
There the two quickly fell into the marijuana crowd. Soon they were dealing marijuana and making tons of cash. But it was a dangerous business , followed by going to prison from time to time.
Things went on like that for sometime until George met a man in prison who turned him onto cocaine trafficking.
This was a whole new , exciting world for George with a higher intake as well as a higher consequence.
But he was good at it.

Soon Don's mom shows up , much to Don's dismay.
Because Don's mom is so overly worried about him she kind of sends Jill in the opposite direction of him.
But Don and Jill do really enjoy each other....
