The story: Laura is a very happily married, mother of two young daughters who makes a living by writing novels.
One late night, she is awoken by a kiss from her husband, Dean, who has been away on business.
But the kiss worries her...
Laura believes Dean was acting very strange.
The next day, wondering still about that kiss, Laura calls up her father, worldly and charismatic Felix, whom she believes will be able to shed some light on Dean's behavior for her.
Felix doesn't want to believe that there is anything to be suspicious about Dean, but will go to any length possible to help Laura figure out what is going on, if in fact there is anything going on.
The father and daughter begin spending much-needed time together, trying to figure out Dean's actions, all while he is working.
